The SILVA METHOD Business Programme

“Most of us are stuck in one mode of attention that I call narrow-objective focus. This is a highly concentrated, emergency mode of attending. It can be a productive and useful form of attention, allowing us to accomplish challenging tasks. But we tend to greatly overuse it, and, because, it’s our mind’s emergency mode, it engages the high frequencies of the brain’s electrical activities, keeping the nervous system in overdrive.” – Les Fehmi, The Open-Focus Brain

Your wonderful bio-computer

Your brain functions much like a computer. It operates on electrical energy. It can store information, which you can retrieve later. It can use the information that is available to it to solve problems. It has certain modes that are designed especially for performing specific tasks, such as thinking, acting and sleeping.

Brain Wave States:

  • Beta: more than 14 cps (typically 20 cps), occurs when your body and mind are active and you focus your eyes. Nearly all forms of action, thinking, and problem solving are done with a beta brain wave. Most people spend most of their waking lives in a beta state.
  • Alpha: 9 to 14 cps, is associated with light sleep and dreaming. The alpha state is associated with creativity and super learning, where the brain learns at a faster and deeper level than it does in beta. Most meditation and energy healing techniques cultivate and utilize an alpha brain wave for relaxation and healing.
  • Theta: from 4 to 7 cps, is associated with deeper sleep and with the use of hypnosis for such things as painless surgery. Theta is the border between the conscious and the subconscious world, and by learning to use a conscious, waking theta brain wave we can access and influence the powerful subconscious part of ourselves that is normally inaccessible to our waking minds. While in the theta state, the mind is capable of deep and profound learning, healing, and growth
  • Delta: below 4 cps, is associated with deepest sleep. Delta is the slowest of all the brainwave frequencies. Frequencies in the delta range have been linked to healing the mind and body of a wide-variety of ailments and illnesses. Researchers have even discovered that within the delta brainwave range, some frequencies are even able to produce healthy substances such as: DHEA, melatonin, and H.G.H. (Human Growth Hormone).

In order to use this wonderful “biocomputer” (your brain) most effectively, you need to first be in the correct mode—the alpha brain wave level. The SILVA METHOD Business Programme will teach you to the techniques to enter the alpha state so that you can think more clearly, maintain better concentration and access and store information more easily.
