Business Leader

Hugh Brawley

Hugh, is a professional Organisation Development, Engineering and Managerial specialist with many years experience in senior roles within both the public and private sectors such as Thorn EMI, BAE SYSTEMS, Babcock International, Motorola University and the National Health Service.

He attended the universities of Paisley, Sheffield and Glasgow Caledonian undertaking BA, MEd and PhD studies in Business Administration & Technology, Training & Organisational Development  and Transformational Leadership.

Hugh’s key interests are in Leadership, People Development and Business Improvement – Lean Sigma.

Hugh is a visiting lecturer at the University of Highlands and Islands Business School.

Evolution Associates:

Lee Wilson BSc (Hons) PhD.

Lee commenced her career as a medical scientist completing a degree in Immunology and Pharmacology and continued with a research PhD in Pharmacology. Thereafter Lee worked at Fetal Origins of Adult Disease Centre, a flagship centre of excellence for medical research as a British Heart Foundation Post-doctoral research fellow of vascular research for the Centre.

Lee returned to Scotland and decided to utilise her skills and experience to focus on process service development mainly within the NHS in Scotland. Over time she has transferred these skill sets to Business Improvement in a number of major organisations, such as BAE SYSTEMS and Royal Liver Assurance. Lee’s key interests are in People Development and Service Improvement, she is a Six Sigma Black Belt and an NLP Practioner

Ross Maynard BSc (Hons) MCIM FCIMA

Ross has 20 years experience in the provision of strategic consultancy, coaching and development support to organisations of all sizes; specialising in Throughput Accounting, lean service improvement, process simulation, and organisational development. He has supported lean projects with some of the world’s leading organisations including, Royal Bank of Scotland,  Rolls Royce, Thermofisher Scientific, Boeing, Philips, Parker Hannifin etc. Ross is a trained Lean facilitator, Sigma Belt and NLP practioner.

Throughput Accounting provides the strategic tools for lean management by focusing on visual workplace measures for rapid decision making; coupled with management accounting tools for longer term planning. Throughput Accounting is an integral part of the lean management system, as well as a vital tool for strategic decision making. Key elements of Throughput Accounting include:

Establishing lean performance indicators and management information reports; implementing visual performance reporting systems; Developing Value Stream Cost statements; Cost analyses to support the lean transformation; Establishing Target Costing and Opportunity Review processes; Applying lean practices in the finance and support functions; Developing finance and support staff as facilitators of the lean transformation; Supporting the creation of a lean “culture” including employee involvement, openness, problem solving and leadership development; Balanced scorecard approaches to link strategic objectives with Value Stream measures; Sales, Operational and Financial Planning; Implementing continuous improvement tools.

Graham Ogilvie BA

Graham Ogilvie is a Corporate Artist who has developed and specialises in a techniques such  as Creative Visioning, Scenario Planning and Strategy Development.

John Gray BSc

John has a background in Healthcare Risk Management, Knowledge Management and Software Development and his key interests are human judgement & decision making. He is a former Customer Relationship Manager at Safecode Ltd, Senior Business Analyst at GS Analytics Ltd and Global Contract Solutions.

Ian Pollock

Ian is a specialist in people development and the Director of SILVA UK, providing the internationally celebrated people motivation programmes.
